“A Legacy Donor Just Died – Now What?!”

a presentation & panel discussion

Fredrick B. Weber will aim to demystify death-related administration of estates and trusts for charitable beneficiaries, many of whom have spent years cultivating estate and trust gifts from their now-deceased donors. Attendees will get the perspective of a professional fiduciary, who also happens to be a recovering trust and estate attorney and a former planned giving officer. By shedding light on the process of death-related administration, the goal is to provide planned giving professionals and their advisors (attorneys, CPA’s, financial professionals) some tips and tricks to advocate more effectively for the organizations they represent. By gaining a broader understanding of their rights and responsibilities as trust and estate beneficiaries, participants should come away more confident in their ability to fulfill their fiduciary duties to their donors and to the public, and better equipped to communicate with the fiduciaries responsible for the delivery of their charitable legacies following a donor’s passing. Panel discussion to follow featuring an attorney, a wealth advisor and a CPA.
